License Resets are provided by MvtRocks staff for the following brands of modules for a flat rate fee:

  • Copernicus
  • eMediaSales
  • Viking Coders

Please enter the domain name, the module name and the previous license key used for installation of the module. Note that module license resets MAY NOT be used to transfer a module to a different store or domain. You MUST provide the original key, domain and module name in order to have your license reset complete.

Common VALID reasons for requesting a license reset:

  • Need to install in a development store for testing / initial development
  • Need to install in a production store after tested / development installation
  • Product lost it's license key mysteriously
  • Store code changed, module is licensed to the store code
  • Store owner email changed, module is licensed to the store owner email address
  • Entire store sold or changes domain name - some resets may be honored

Common INVALID reasons for requesting a license reset:

  • Want to sell the module to someone else (not allowed)
  • Want to install the module in a different store (not allowed)
  • Want to install the module in a different domain (not allowed)

No license key is provided instantly upon checkout. If this is a licensed product you may need to contact the developer for a key upon product installation.

  • Why do I have to pay for a license reset?
    In general, Copernicus, eMediaSales and Viking Coders requires a fee for resetting licenses to discourage licensing fraud as well as to cover costs of staff time required to deal with licensing issues.
  • What are common causes of lost licenses in modules?
    Some module license keys are tied to a particular store code and store owner email address. If you change these in your Miva Merchant 5 store, you may need to reset one or more licenses from various MvtRocks vendors. Other common causes are host moves where the license database is not moved properly, IP address changes that trigger a fraud filter, etc. In general your modules should never lose a license key on their own, so in most cases something has occurred in your store outside of our control that requires us to do some work for you.
  • What do I need to do for a license key reset?
    You need to pay the license reset fee AND open a ticket with us. Please make sure you're following the rules BEFORE you purchase a license reset key. If you request a license key reset that appears to be license fraud (eg, trying to use the product in another store other than the original), we'll keep the license reset fee AND you'll need to purchase a new license for BOTH stores.
